Text Box: The Freedom Team Prison Power Explosion Events are extremely fruitful in Prisons and Correctional Institutions. U.S. and Mexican inmates love the Freedom Team and thousands have made life changing decisions for Jesus Christ through the Prison Power Explosions.
The inmates come to see the action, but all the way through the Power Explosions are hearing and seeing the message of love and hope in Jesus Christ.  The Team uses dynamic physical actions to illustrate scriptural principles and conclude with an invitation to receive Christ.
Tom Flaskerud Evangelistic Association's Freedom Team has the experience (since 1982), the equipment, the knowledge, the professionalism,  the reputation, and the desire.
Jesus says: “naked and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.” Matthew 25:36

Donald C. Sommer, Director                                                                                                                             Prison Mission Association, Indianapolis, IN                                                                                                Prison Mission Association (PMA) is a non-denominational organization that seeks to bring the Word of God to prisoners throughout the United States by means of correspondence Bible lessons.  We have been partners with the Freedom Team for more than 8 years as we have worked together during a large revival which PMA sponsors annually at the Washington Corrections Center in Shelton.  Every year they have been a tremendously effective group that has presented the gospel with conviction and the power of the Holy Spirit.  We have seen thousands of individuals make decisions for Christ over the past several years that we have worked together on the revival.  Through the Freedom Team presentations we have been able to sign up hundreds of new students to our Bible correspondence lessons.  The Freedom Team also takes our material to other correctional facilities and we have seen remarkable results from those contacts as well.
One thing that has impressed me about the Freedom Team is their humility and sincere desire to glorify God through their ministry.  As anyone that does prison ministry knows there are always things that happen that can try a person’s patience and test the quality of one’s testimony.  I have always found the Freedom Team to be completely cooperative and willing to go the extra mile with the administration of the facility and the other members of the ministry team, never speaking an unkind word, and always seeking to make sure Jesus Christ shines forth in all His glory through their outreach, both during the public presentation as well as behind the scenes in all the other activities that accompany one of their shows.
I highly recommend the Freedom Team as a truly God honoring group that seeks to reach out with the life-giving gospel of Jesus Christ.  They will be a blessing to the audience as well as the organizers of any event they are a part of.

Chaplain Bill Cardin                                                                                                                                                       Larch Corrections Center, Yacolt, WA                                                                                          Thank you for bringing The Freedom Team to Larch Corrections Center July 30th, 2006. The Team did an outstanding job of keeping the interest of the inmates with a combination of music, humor, testimony, and feats of strength and skill.
Special thanks to Joy Flaskerud who did an outstanding job of opening the program with music and testimony. She set the tone for the afternoon that matched the high energy and power of your gospel message.
Not even the drizzling rain was able to dampen the spirit of your team members or the inmate attendance. I pray that God continues to work through your ministries to bring the hope that only comes with the life-changing message of the Gospel.

Chaplain Major Art Wienandt,                                                                                                                      Regional Correctional Facility, Fort Lewis, WA                                                                             Pastor Tom, Thank you for a wonderful, Christ-centered presentation of the Gospel message.  Men were moved; hearts touched; and lives affected.  Especially moving were the personal testimonies; in particular, yours and your spouse’s.  God bless the Freedom Team always!

Andrew Casey, SGT, US Army, Chaplain Assistant                                                                                   Regional Correctional Facility, Fort Lewis, WA                                                                             Thanks so much for coming to the Fort Lewis Regional Corrections Facility.  WOW!!!!  What a blessing.  The show was awesome and everyone really enjoyed it.  The talents that you all have learned are simply amazing.  More importantly, many men were touched and changed by the Gospel message that you shared.  You have found a unique and special way to bring the Message of Truth to men that would otherwise not be willing to hear.  Thanks for you service and may God Bless you in the future.  YEA JESUS!!!!!

Chaplain Terrance Mann                                                                                                                                 Stafford Creek Correctional Center, Aberdeen, WA                                                                                           The Freedom Team has been ministering to the men and staff of Stafford Creek since our inception in 2000.  Their event is looked forward to in anticipation each and every year.  The men and staff always seem to be calm and peaceful after their annual ministry visit.  They are well prepared and have a keen sense of prison safety and security.  As one of the men stated, "Freedom Team is better than sliced bread and peanut butter!"

Chaplain Doug Farris                                                                                                                                        Oregon State Correctional Institution, Salem, OR                                                                              "I want to recommend the Freedom Team to you.  They presented a great program for Oregon State Correctional Institution in 2005.  The program was clearly Christian, yet it was enjoyed by all of the inmates.  The inmates enjoyed the power exercises and the way the team handled themselves on stage.  Security appreciated how well organized the team was and how aware they were of being in a prison setting."

Chaplain Gregory Garringer                                                                                                                   Washington Corrections Center, Shelton, WA                                                                                      "It has been my experience to work with Pastor Tom and his crew for 2 years at Washington Corrections Center Revival. What a dedicated group of men and women to share what God has done in their lives. At least 1200 of our 1600 men heard their message through the word and by strength demonstrations. They demonstrated that we as Christians can do all things through Jesus Christ. Many men heard their message and have made some changes in their lives. The staff and offenders were truly Blessed. We are already looking forward to next years Revival."

Doug Waddington, Superintendent,                                                                                                             Stafford Creek Correctional Center, Aberdeen, WA                                                                            “On behalf of the offenders and staff of Stafford Creek Corrections Center, I thank you for a spectacular special event you provided our facility on Friday, August 1, 2003. The Freedom Team will be long remembered by event participants as an experience that changed their lives.
Approximately 700 offenders participated in the three shows. Staff and offenders alike commented on how professional your team was and on how they liked all the performances. It was truly amazing to see what the human body can do. We cannot speak highly enough of the positive impact your program had on our offenders as well as on staff. Your program will always be welcome here.  Chaplain Terrance Madden will be contacting you to set a date for the summer of 2004, if you and your team are available.
Again, thank you for offering us such a high-quality program.”

Thomas Armstrong, Assistant Administrator Religious Services,                                                                 Oregon Department Of Corrections, Ontario , Oregon                                                                   “Thank you for giving yourselves in excellent ministry to the inmates at the Snake River Correctional Institution. Your servant-hearts were fully demonstrated by your willingness to sleep on the church floor, arrive at the prison by 5:30AM, present 3 programs, and leave the prison at 10:30PM.
The work was well worth the harvest. Over 900 inmates participated in the three presentations and 312 men communicated decisions at various levels for Christ. The impact will undoubtedly be felt for years and generations to come. Security staff were very pleased with the Freedom Teams’ cooperativeness to security needs and to the calming effect spread throughout the prison among inmate population. Several security staff were noticeably impacted as well by  the gospel presentation.”

Chaplain Bill Peck ~ Medium Security,                                                                                                               Washington State Penitentiary, Walla Walla, Washington                                                                                                 “What a blessed time it was having the Freedom Team here. The inmate response was miraculous. I have never had that large a group, about 550, turn out for a volunteer program in the Yard. We are still working on the follow up to the 89 men who responded”.

Chaplain Jerry Calhoun,                                                                                                                                                Mill Creek and Santiam Correctional Institutes, Salem, Oregon                                                                                     “The guys in Mill Creek Facility have come up with their own personalized outreach plan for all the ones who made decisions there. Also please pray for our meeting space at Santiam Correctional Institute, we have more guys than space now”.

Chaplain Ron Wilhite ~ Maximum Security,                                                                                                               Washington State Penitentiary, Walla Walla, Washington                                                                                                 “What a Blessing it was to have you folks minister in the maximum security “Big Yard”. Three sessions in 15 hours was truly Holy Spirit Energy. We have had our Chapel attendance go up since you were here.  153 renewals or conversions for Christ!  The Angels are still rejoicing”.

Robert L. Bobo, Executive Director,                                                                                                                           Prison Ministry Association, Port Orchard, Washington                                                                                                    “I can’t find the words to express the thanks that PMA owes you for your part in Revival 2000 at Washington Correctional Center in Shelton. We had over 500 cards turned in at the revival and expect several more in the mail. The Lord working through The Freedom Team is what made the big difference in this revival. The feedback from the institution so far has been great. I hope that your team will be able to join us again next year”.
