         Text Box: Why You Should Bring The Freedom Team To Your Correctional Institution? How The Freedom Team Can be Part of the Answer to The Problem: • The ultimate answer is found only when individuals are transformed spiritually through a personal relationship with God based on faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. • Through the Freedom Team Prison Power Explosions inmates hear the powerful Gospel message of Jesus Christ and are given the opportunity to invite Him into their lives. • Through our networking with Prison Chaplains and other prison ministries, inmates responding to our Power Explosion invitations are given means by which they can be discipled and encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. • The repeat offender rate has grown to be extremely high within our prison system. From all outward appearances the current rehabilitation programs are of little value. When an inmate makes a life changing decision in Jesus Christ and grows through follow up discipling, his value and moral standards are replaced by godly standards thereby giving him a much greater chance of becoming a productive and treasured member of society. • For an inmate that has children and returns to his home upon release, the Christian experience and lifestyle can bring life changing results in the lives of his spouse and children. Thereby greatly reducing the chance of his children becoming incarcerated. (Children of inmates have a seven times greater possbility of being incarcerated than do children whose parents have not been incarcerated.) How The Freedom Team Prison Power Explosions Can Accomplish This: • We have the reputation and are often invited into prison facilities and prison yards to present our Prison Power Explosions. • We are considered by the Institutions we have worked with as being officer and staff friendly and as a result of this many doors of opportunity have opened to us when presenting our programs within their facilities. • We have the experience: Over the years we have refined and polished our presentations to be highly energetic and action packed. The inmates come to see the action and all the way through our Power Explosions are seeing and hearing the powerful message of the Gospel through physical illustrations of scriptural principals. • Inmates turn out to see our Power Explosion Presentations: We have been told several times by prison staff that our presentation draw the largest inmate turn out of any volunteer program they have had. • Inmates understand the Gospel message because of the way it is presented. Through using physcial illustrations to present scriptural principals the inmates are seeing the Gospel as well as hearing it and have a clearer understanding of the message of Christ. • When the inmate has a clear understanding of the message of Christ, the Spirit of God begins drawing and convicting him to a point of life changing decision. • When the inmate realizes that he is a sinner and in need of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ they respond to the Power Explosion invitations to receive Christ. • The inmates are prayed with, their decision registered, given Christian literature and counseled to become involved in the Prison Chapel Services and Bible studies being held within the institutions. • The inmate is also encouraged to register for a free ’Correspondence Bible Study Course’ that is sent to them by Prison Mission Association, an affiliate ministry. • The inmate is also given the opportunity to enroll in a ‘Correspondence Bible Study Course’ with Child Evangelism Fellowship and to enroll their children in the C.E.F. Mailbox Club Course should the inmate desire. • The inmate is given a Poster/Tract and a Bible marker with the Freedom Team mailing address and encouraged to correspond with us. We have people who are trained volunteers who correspond with the inmates to encourage them in their Christian walk.
